Our goal is your satisfaction.
In 1967, 12 established German moving companies joined forces to create a common network – confern. The main objective was to support one another, make better use of available transport capacity and reduce unnecessary empty runs wherever possible. This idea of working together as a network continues to shape confern today. It is at the heart of what confern stands for and one of the reasons why more and more companies are joining our network.
Today, more than 50 partner companies from all over Germany are part of the confern family. Around 2,000 employees work every day to organise well over 40,000 moves a year. They prepare quotations, plan moves from start to finish, arrange no-parking zones and tradespeople, and are always there to assist their customers.
confern took another important step in its development in 2002 with the founding of Eurovan Deutschland GmbH. The aim was to establish an international partner network. Today, more than 50 international companies are part of this network. Together, confern and Eurovan are able to provide professional moving services to destinations around the world. Our wide range of services includes furniture storage, records archiving, two-man handling and relocation services – to name just a few.
Another milestone in confern’s history was the cooperation with Euromovers SCE mbH in 2020. This new partnership expanded the network to more than 80 member companies. Together, we form a strong moving network with extensive expertise and capabilities.

Data & Facts
Number of moves: Every year, about 40,000 households move with confern. That's about the equivalent of moving a German city of 120,000 people like Würzburg to Göttingen... or vice versa.
Cartons used: Every year, confern uses about 1.1 million cartons to protect and transport your belongings. If these cartons are lined up, they result in the distance of 660 km, or once across Germany - from Aachen to Dresden.
Kilometers traveled: The confern trucks cover about 10 million km per year. This means that confern circles the globe every 1.5 days.
Moves to countries worldwide: In its more than 40-year history, confern has made moves to over 90% of all countries in the world. Most of them in Europe, followed by America and Asia.
Highlight:The move of the entire German Bundestag from Bonn to Berlin was a challenge overcome by the community of confern partners. From July 5 to 30, 1999, 200 confern employees were on duty every day to move a total of 32,000 cubic meters of removal goods from the old to the new capital. Every day, 40 containers were loaded onto the train. A total of 37,000 meters of files, 46,000 boxes of books and 1,300 PCs were moved during this relocation.
